Edwin, yang terkenal akan film
art-housenya yang menghampiri festival internasional dengan materi esensi yang
begitu unik, kuat dan tegas. Kali ini dia muncul dalam sebuah karya yang
menunjukkan bahwa dirinya juga bisa membuat sebuah film mainstream walau gaya
art-house tetap takkan bisa dilepaskan.
Kisah cinta pertama Lala bertemu
dengan Yudhis, anak baru yang tertarik padanya. Tanpa waktu lama, mereka
menyatu padu. Kemudian Yudhis menginginkan cinta mereka selamanya.
Kurang lebih begitu. Jika film
romance indonesia lebih identik pada hal yang memanjakan fantasi sang
penontonnya dengan sweet romance yang lebih buruknya, terlalu berlebihan, tanpa
ada sesuatu yang spesial lagi, bahkan formula yang sama dan membuat hal itu
terasa klise. Film Posesif tampil beda yang membuat film ini menjadi sebuah
sajian spesial dalam rasa yang begitu nyata. Tampil bagai apa adanya dan
membuat penonton tenggelam dalam sebuah emosi yang diciptakan oleh Edwin
melalui cerita dan karakternya.
Hal yang paling gua sukai dari
film ini dan membuatnya tampil begitu spesial di hati gua sampai sedikit
bercarut di story instagram ialah, bagaimana meramu sebuah kisah yang mengeksplorasi cinta begitu deep, dan tegas. Sebuah eksplorasi cinta dalam rasa
nyata tanpa ada sesuatu yang berlebih. Meramu kisah Dark Romance berbumbu thriller cukup begitu related, karena penciptaan karakter dan jalan kisah mereka seperti sebuah pengalaman kebanyakan orang dikonversikan dalam sebuah visual dan emosi sehingga tercipta seperti sugesti nyata kepada penonton bahwa kisah ini betul-betul related. Sikap seorang posesif betul-betul digambarkan dengan baik, bagaimana kerumitan sebuah hubungan didalamnya, sebuah pengaruh dan dampaknya. Everything feels solid.
Sang castnya, Putri Marino dan Adipati Dolken memberikan sebuah performance yang luar biasa terutama Adipati Dolken yang, jujur, gua kagum banget untuk film kali ini, perubahan emosi, tindakan, sebuah pencapaian dan keberanian yang lebih-lebih top untuk film seperti ini. Belum lagi, first acting untuk Putri Marino, tetapi dia udah menghidupkan banget sosok Lala yang hidup dalam kebimbangan dan masih dalam tahap mengeksplorasi apa yang namanya cinta. Supporting characters nya juga tak kalah, Cut Mini dan temen-temen Lala yang gua rasa juga membangun.
Permainan cerita yang tepat oleh
Gina membuat mataku terfokus dalam kisah cinta mereka dengan backstory yang gua
rasa cukup. Lala dan Yudhis tampil dengan chemistry yang kuat dan jangan
disangka bahwa kisah cinta mereka sweet, morelike bittersweet and pain, sebuah
kerumitan yang
dikupas dengan alasan yang membuat semakin tahu kekuatan cinta
mereka. Penggunaan teknik kamera dan shots yang menyisipkan tambahan emosi
kepada penonton akan isi kepala dan hati sang kedua karakter terlihat jelas dan
gua suka itu. Dan yah, musiknya! Like every reviewer said, bahwa ketepatan
penggunaan musik yang begitu mengatur mood dan diadegan yang sangat tepat, dan
Sheila On 7 bakal membuatmu menyanyi dalam iringan. Siap-siap dengan
perubahan-perubahan yang seperti banting setir dan hal itu tepat kali untuk
memancing emosi untuk tenggelam dalam kisah mereka. Ending? Gua rasa mix, happy
and sad, it's all yours thought.
Of course ini sebuah pengalaman
yang berbeda dan perubahan sinema indonesia yang lebih baik, ini karya Edwin
pertama kali yang gua tonton di bioskop dan luar biasa. Film ini juga important buat para-para audiens indonesia. Tonton dan nikmati dalam sebuah kerumitan emosi.

Edwin, who is famous for his art-house
films that go to an international festival with essence material that is so
unique, strong and firm. This time he appears in a work that shows that he can
also make a mainstream movie even though the art-house style still can't be
released.
Lala's first love story met Yudhis, the new
student who was attracted to her. Without long, they are united. Then Yudhis
wants their love forever.
More or less so. If the romance films of
Indonesia are more identical to the things that spoil the fantasy of the
audience with sweet romance, which in a worst case; too much, without anything
special, even the same, same formula and make it feel cliché. Posesif film are
different, being a special dish in a taste so real. Shown how it is and makes
the audience immersed in the emotions created by Edwin through stories,
characters and techniques.
The thing that I love most about this movie
and make it look so special in my heart that make me released one in a
repetition of cursed words in my instagram story, that this movie explores a
love story that can be practically destructive. An exploration of love in real
sense without anything
excessive. Movies that are as fleeting as dark romance
and even on certain scenes when audiences see something thrilling like the main
thriller.
The cast, Putri Marino and Adipati Dolken deliver a remarkable performance especially Adipati Dolken, to be honest, I am so amazed for the film this time, the change of emotion, action, achievement and courage are even more top for movies like this. Not to mention, first acting for Putri Marino, but she's been turning on Lala who lives in a state of uncertainty and is still in the stage of exploring what her name calls love. Supporting his characters are also not lost, Cut Mini and my friends Lala I think is also building.
How the story is composed by Gina made my
eyes focused on their love story with a backstory that I felt was enough and
interesting plot. Lala and Yudhis perform with strong chemistry and do not
think that their love story is sweet, more like bittersweet and pain, a
complexity that is peeled off on the grounds that make me know more about the
power of their love and reason to be. The use of camera techniques and shots
that insert additional emotion to the audience about both of the
characters
think and felt and I like it. And well, the music! Like every reviewer said,
that the accuracy of the use of music is so set the mood and very precise, and
Sheila On 7 (Indonesian Band) will make you sing in the accompaniment. Get
ready with swinging changes and it's just the right thing to provoke emotions
and thoughts to make the audience drift in their emotions, feelings through
their stories. Ending? I think, happy and sad, it's all yours thought.
Of course this is a different experience
and revolution in Indonesian cinema are getting, better, this is the first
Edwin work I watched in theatre and it's amazing.
